Coordinator, Production Safety

The Production Safety Coordinator will support our Vice President of Production Safety across television and features productions.  The ideal candidate will have experience and interest in production safety and on set production.  This person will be responsible for administrative support including, but not limited to, day to day scheduling and organization, research, vendor management, and maintaining the safety manual.


  • Supports the Production Safety team in the management of the overall health and safety program
  • Manages executive calendar and schedules/coordinates meetings and appointments
  • Maintains production calendars, inventory, etc. in Excel
  • Responsible for updating the safety manual with updated regulations, including COVID regulations
  • Researches, interviews and keeps update spreadsheet of vendors, including cleaning, contact tracing, testing, etc.
  • Assists with redlining of agreements, contracts, etc.
  • Manages and tracks updating all health & safety documents and coordinates production employee health & safety training
  • Builds and maintains strong working relationships with executives, department leads and staff, outside vendors and delivers results based on their needs
  • Coordinates events that support the Production Safety team (ie. syncs, training sessions, outreach, etc.)
  • Assists in evaluating production concepts, scripts, pitches, etc., for safety and environmental concerns and risks
  • Assists in recommending and implementing corrective actions to assist productions
  • Assists in investigating production emergencies, incidents, and accidents
  • Assists in the evaluation of production sets, stages, and locations for safety issues
  • Develops and maintains effective working relationships with industry safety organizations, representatives, and governmental regulatory agencies
  • Helps complete and distribute the RTW Documentation and the Crew Guidance memos
  • Puts together a testing schedule and work with Post-Production, Safety and Testing teams to set a testing cadence for each crew member who requires testing
  • Orders/Manages any PPE needs for crew


  • 3+ years’ experience in a production coordinating environment, experience in Safety a strong plus
  • Previous experience redlining contracts
  • Must be organized and detail oriented with ability to manage multiple high priorities; appropriately prioritize, proactively anticipate, and manage time efficiently
  • Team player with an ability to supervise several projects in a fast-paced environment, as well as take direction as needed
  • Knowledge of Federal, state and local health & safety and environmental regulations (OSHA, Cal/OSHA, EPA, and other globally analogous regulatory agencies)
  • Great communicator who can build strong working relationships with internal and external partners and vendors
  • Ability to respond after hours for important, timely or urgent manners
  • Ability to be discreet and handle confidential information
  • Highly Proficient with MS software including Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Willingness to continue learning to ensure understanding of current production safety issues and emerging trends
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with staff, other administrators, internal and external senior management
  • Good understanding of motion picture and television production process including organizational structure, terminology, equipment, construction methods, stunt and special effects techniques, etc.
