Do you come up with 10 new gameplay trailer concepts before you get out of bed? Do you work in Unreal and make stuff that makes your industry peers question reality? Are you looking to help create the best video content around? Are you tired of reading these questions? Awesome. Let’s get down to business. We are looking for a visionary storyteller that can embed with the game team, become a game expert when the game is still half formed, realize where the best gameplay and story moments lie, mine them and condense them into a beautiful, short summary that will leave players around the world begging for more and angry at the slow, inexorable passing of time. 

Responsibilites

  • Concepting, producing and editing gameplay trailers for our games and other video content
  • Controlling characters as a ‘stickman’ for single player and multiplayer VR scene setups
  • Running the camera and capturing a range of footage from single animations to complicated multi character scenarios, including fully choreographed or raw gameplay sequences
  • Capturing video footage with traditional photography and video equipment
  • Lighting in-game sets or characters and tweaking / building environments from scratch in Unreal
  • Research and development of future content and tools
  • Capturing appealing gameplay screenshots for the purposes of promotion, hype and PR
  • Updating and maintaining internal wikis and shot-lists for projects and workflows
  • Working directly with developers from the game team to ensure that content is ready to shoot
  • Sorting recorded footage and editing in Adobe Premiere as well as After-effects work, motion graphics 

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience working on gameplay capture projects in a professional environment
  • Knowledge of and passion for PC/Console video games, VR games a plus
  • Exceptional eye for shot composition and framing, with professional examples
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to QC your own work under tight deadlines
  • A high level of comfort and familiarity with controller and keyboard based camera controls and experience running the camera solo and in multiplayer scenarios
  • Ability to take direction, as well as learn and implement new processes at a rapid pace
  • Experience with an environment requiring rapid project turnaround, and frequent priority shifts
  • Amazing creativity, and a demonstrated ability to generate innovative concepts, designs, and ideas in a professional environment
  • Able to communicate effectively across multiple teams in written and verbal formats
  • You work well in a team environment and are comfortable with an iterative design process
  • Professional experience with software such as Premiere Pro, After Effects or equivalent

Pluses

  • You can show us examples of your work in a 3D application like Maya, Blender or Zbrush
  • You are a professional photographer or cinematographer with appropriate experience that would carry over into gameplay capture work
  • You wholeheartedly support the eventual robot uprising
